The lesson price is 10 euro, the duration of the lesson is 1 hour 20 minutes. You are welcome! My e-mail: [email protected], Elena Alexandrovna |

Isn't 10 Euro per 80 minutes a bit much? |

If she has the proper teaching qualifications, in Moscow 10 Euros really isn't bad for an 80 minute private lesson. Consider how much you would charge for the same English lesson. By the way, what is the going rate for private English lessons for an 80 minute period? |

Depends- I know people who charge $75 for 90 minutes and people who charge $20 for the same amount of time. There are a lot of people in Moscow with a lot of money who have no qualms about spending it on private English lessons (with the right teacher, of course). |

I believe the typical rate for one to one lessons in English is between $25 and $35 dollars per academic hour, all depending on the amount of travelling involved for the teacher.
The minimum amount of academic hours normally accepted by an experienced teacher is three academic hours. Therefore the lowest cost per lesson is $75
Taking into consideration the travelling around moscow on the Metro for a few hours here and there I can't imagine an experienced teacher accepting less. It appears to be an acceptable rate for those who who can afford the luxury of one to one |

Where did you get that from, Bels? Most teachers I know do lessons for either 2 (real) hours or, more usually, 90 minutes. Anything more than 120 minutes of one-to-one tuition can be counter-productive. Even then it would be a slog for both teacher and student. Also, if you are experienced as you seem to be, you should consider raising your prices a little. Much better to get two students who pay $50 an hour than 4 which pay $25. $25 an hour is not much more (and in some cases less) than you would get for cash-in-hand work at a school where you don't have to find the students, don't have to travel and can teach classes, which some find far less demanding (and less boring) than teaching students 1-2-1. |

an hour and twenty minutes? a total bargain...
