My contract will expire at the end of the Fall 2005 semester. I intend on returning home for a short vacation, but wish to return to study chinese. I am not sure how to secure a visa before I leave China, so I am able to return without any hassles. Does anyone have any experience with this?? thanks |

I do not see any trouble for you! Your work visa will not be taken into consideration in granting you a study visa (type 'X'). For that to happen you need an approved school/university.
It is another matter whether Chinese schools ae good enough to teach you Chinese. Don't forget a student is not permitted (officially) to teach English... |

One of the foreigners in my college, a Japanese female, taught Japanese for two years. As of this term she is a full-time music student and when I asked her, she said that she is still using her RPF. |
