I'll be flying to Phuket from HK or Macau.

My question is how do I arrange a tourist visa?

1) Show up and get one at the airport (how long does that take and how much does it cost)?

Can i take care of that before I arrive in Thailand? For example, is there a consulate in HK or Macau I can visit?

I'm interested in the cheapest, fastest and easiest way to secure the lengthiest Thai visa possible.

Thanks

p.s.
I'm Canadian

There is no consulate in Macau so you'll have to go to HK. I've been to the consulate there, you drop off your passport one day and pick it up the next. You'd best check their website for prices and info.

No, but you can be stamped in as a tourist at the airport for thirty days: best check the Thai immigration website to be sure.

^ Not a tourist Visa per se, rather an Canadian will get a 30 day on arrival or on entry stamp when they come here. But in theory you'll then need a flight out (more of a probem with your carrier than Immigration this end).
