Hello,
My partner and I are thinking of coming to Poland. We're both experienced (+2 years) and have TEFL qualifications- What's the market wage? I've seen 2400Zl a month. Is that at all competetive?
Thanks,
Steve |

Depends. What location is this (For a small town, this would be fine; a large town such as Warsaw or Krakow, this is far too low).
How many hours a week is this for?
What are the benefits like and do they include accommodation, or would you have to pay separately? |

Thanks for getting back. The job includes accomodation and is in Gdansk. Is that an expensive place? It's with a school called ERA. Has anyone heard of them?
Thanks. |

Gdańsk is very, very touristy (but beautiful) so some of the prices reflect the number of foreign visitors. Restaurants and bars in the centre can be pricy, out of the centre is much cheaper. I heard that most of the schools in the tri-city area pay low wages - a lot of teachers want to go there - but generally it isn't too expensive. 2400 sounds suspiciously low to me though.
Good luck in Gdańsk! |
