Except not all those email addresses are one and the same person, right? I worked for two years in a school with my FAO being two of the emails listed above. Admittedly, it was a pretty crappy job overall, but I'm not "getting" the gist of this posting. Are you saying that every website and every email listed is associated with this Alin guy or that he IS every person who has an email listed above? |

The email addresses listed are those he attached to one or another of scores of posted job offerings. It's possible that in a couple of cases he used an email address of a real person at a school. Ditto for what I've listed as the aliases. If you're quite sure the addresses are the same and you'd like to identify the two you mentioned, I'll separate them.
However, I don't know what your information might mean. I suppose it's possible this man has friends and, in at least some cases he may well have been working together with a school.
There have been two kinds of reports about placings where he has been involved. One is where the school has been misled too, and in these cases, the teachers report that the schools were very angry on learning of the promises made, were understanding of the teacher's position, and no lasting trouble ensued.
In the others, this Alin Buuer would almost have to be cutting his capers with at least the tacit knowledge of the school or the scams wouldn't have worked. I'm not suggesting this relates to the specific teacher you mention; I simply don't know.
I cannot answer your last point precisely, but it would appear that Alin Buuer and a friend are indeed virtually "all" of those names listed. Often, two different ones appear in the same ad - one being his contact, and the other being his "Foreign Affairs Department" or some such. They certainly aren't listed as a school contact, but as part of his organisation. At least those I have seen - I certainly haven't seen every ad the man has placed.

It would seem that not only does he have a multiple identity but also at least two genders, judging by names such as "Lucy" and "Lucy Wang".
I personally remember Alin Buur as a male speaking to me over the telephone. |

My only contact as well has been with the man. He may have a lady friend working with him, or not. Mind you, if you're running a scam anyway, probably no good reason to not have lots of names of all kinds. I don't know.
However, I've dealt with other agents that seemed like huge Chinese export companies or some such, where the whole business was run by a guy and his girlfriend out of his apartment. The internet is a great leveller. |

I got a job two years back from him.He gave me number of the school and school was good.Paid my salary on time and didn't had much problem.
Last year when I spoke to him, he couldn't help and started complaining that I asked too many questions. I think he couldn't handle the business. |

Well, the emails of [email protected] and [email protected] are/were legit. They belonged to one Wang Hui ("Ray") of Song Cheng Hua Mei school. He was in charge of the foreign teachers (I think he's still there this year). A nice enough guy, but so frustrating to get anything done by him or his assistant. I don't remember through which website I first contacted him for a job - - too long ago. I think Ray uses a Yahoo email address now due to his frustrations with MSN (like Yahoo is any better?). |

Tower 1 is where the BRITISH COUNCIL is based! (It's on the 4th floor.) I don't suppose that they have heard of Mr. Buuer? |

I'll try to check it out, Chris. But some of these people seem to publish fake addresses just for appearance. For eg., this Alin Buuer (in the various ads of his that I've seen) lists himself or his organisation as being in 7 or 8 different cities. Sometimes he gives an address and sometimes not. And his stated phone numbers seem to change constantly.
I don't think there's any way to tell without actually going to all of these places.
Anyway, thanks for the information. |

He can get jobs for non-native, Chinese-born English speakers?

I'm afraid I agree with the Great Wall. Don't want to offend anyone but that's almost surely Chinese grammar praising Mr. Buuer. And "Alin" has been known to post his own references (and some for "Dr." Yakup too) on more than one bulletin board. |

Kevin7161 is right. I, along with six other foreigners, currently work at Song Cheng Hua Mei School. "Ray" is a real person. He is still the Director of the International Affairs office.

Bearcanada this is the third time that you have made a major error that has resulted in people being implicated unfairly as a result of your failure to research before you post.
Please do us all a favor. If you want to be an advocate for foreign teachers then please at least check your information before you post it here as being fact. Your continued failure to do so really calls into question the information that you provide. How many other inaccuracies are there in your posts that have gone unnoticed? |

Dear cmknight;
I appreciate your comment. I'm thinking it may not be possible to compile a current and accurate list of email addresses these people use, partly because they change so much.
A more difficult problem is that this man devises cute and complicated ways to 'ally' himself with other legitimate sites or people. I've seen ads where he listed good schools with one of his email addresses as the contact, and he's done the same with othe websites. For eg., he listed Angelina's ESL site URL with one of his aliases as the contact person.
He did the same on a couple of ads I've seen with Ray Hui's name and school, but with Buuer's contact email and some alias as the 'Foreign Affairs Department'. The format seems constant but the details keep changing. |
