The first one is dated 2001 and was probably nearly outdated when posted - both as to information and salaries...
The second gives some random salary numbers based on what?? nothing is mentioned of what kind of school, what education level, what experience level... pretty meaningless really - except perhaps for gross comparison.

i think the tripod page about syria is pretty accurate as it stands. perhaps private work can now bring in approx $20 an hour rather than the $10 quoted, though. excellent reference site. thnx
