I just wanted to find out if anyone had any opinions on the realative merits of teaching in Japan vs. S. Korea. I am contemplating the possibility of teaching in either country.

I have a graduate degree (not in ESL) and have worked as a professonal musician and music educator for most of my career. I am looking for comparisons in wages, cost of living, availability of art and cultural experiences in smaller centres, and the availability of positions in seaside areas (I have a water fetish).

Also, if there are any older teachers (late thirties/forties) that would like to relate their experiences to me, I'd be quite grateful for their help.
