Okay, sorry to go off topic but I know I saw somewhere online a post as to where to play Texas Hold 'em in Madrid. There is one place but, for the life of me, I can't find that info again.
If anyone can help...
Thanks,
Rebecca |

Hey,
I've been keeping an eye on this post and I'm starting to get worried Rebecca... where's the poker game?
We may be playing heads up if we can't find anybody. |

Havent found the place for poker but would be glad to meet up with you and some folks to play for coppers.
That would be alot of fun and not break the bank.
Just let me know what you think.

I think that sounds good...
I'll be over there in a month - we'll have to meet up and play cards.
How long have you been there? |

Have been here 2 months so far and am starting to get a bit stressed looking for hours as an English teacher. I may not have much money to lose to you in a month
Definitely let me know when you arrive. Have you been here before?

I've never been before. You've been there two months? Did you take a TEFL course? Where are you from?
You can email me directly if you want, if it's easier. My email is [email protected].
Talk to you soon - dan |

Rebecca,
There is plenty of poker here in Madrid. Ive lived here for over 6 months, and I am familiar with a few different games (depending how you want to play).
If you read this and are still looking for a game, post a reply and Ill send you some information.
All the best,
Irish Ben |

You betcha I'm still interested!
I enjoy Texas Hold 'em, of course. Also, Omaha Hi-Lo, baseball, etc. but am open to all forms of the game.
I'd appreciate any info u can send my way.
Thanks,

Rebecca,
In Malasana, there is a bookshop and cafe called J & Js. Go or call there and ask for Dave. He runs the joint. Mention you spoke to the Irishman about poker games in the area.
You can ask Dave to speak with Kevin, an American who plays a lot. They are good friends. J & Js is on Calle Espiritu Santo, near Metro Noviciado.
If all of this is a bust, write me back.
All the best,
Irish Ben |
