I am torn between the two schools and I still can't decide. EBC sounds a bit more professional. But TEFLocal always emphasizes the "we are argentina" school. There are a lot of positive things said about EBC. Any inputs on TEFLocal. TeFlocal did say a lot of negative stuff about EBC. I'm not to keen on trashing other schools. That could simply be their marketig efforts as you can tell by their web sit. I called both schools and I am still locked. I would like to do some volunteering afterwards if I can't get a job just to get more practice time in. Teflocal said they could provide that. EBC said it is possible only with probably a month long commitment. EBC is a bit more expensive. Is the additional justified in comparing schools. Any feedback is welcome. I might even bring some goodies from the states when I arrive.

Right you are, there's no need for competing schools to badmouth, after all future TEFL students are smart enough to make their decisions based on the information on offer, what ex students say, what references say and how the internet explains the course.

For us to make a big step tp go abroad , train , teach and live in a foreign city should account for something, at least we 've got the guts to try something different that in the long run could improve our chances for better jobs back home. Another language, life abroad, travel, etc. - things employers value at interview time

If you feel EBC is more professional, if you feel they are right for your needs, for the kind of student that you are, speak to them, call them, they have a toll free number and if you're like me, I did a lot of reasearch and it did pay in the long run. If you need any info and if I can be of help just send me an email. Good luck.

All the best,

Jennifer
