Hello Katy, travellingscot, scot47 and al.

This post made me curious as to what the actual statistics were like in the UK for teenage sexual disease and pregnancy.
I am not from the UK(as you can see) but, I do teach Sex Education here in Canada and see the the rates of teenage pregnancy and STD's are quite high. Here are a few websites(statistics) that I found on the situation in the UK for teenage girls.

In reading these articles, it does indeed, as travellingscot mentioned look like teenage promiscuity is on the uprise. These stats are very depressing. Is sex ed taught in the UK?

Yes I'll agree the stastics speak for themselves and may well be correct. Still even one in four, though suprisingly high, is not the majority Scot would have us believe.
