Have to say that I've been the job for quiet a few years and have never been riped off. Infact I'm one of the few teachers not to have been riped off by the old Kadiky Newline outfit. A fair few friends got burnt by that one.

In the end it's not luck. If you come over with less than perfect paper work and work on the side then you are at risk of being ripped off. Rolling Eyes

On the otherhand if you come over with full paper work and are legal, then its up to you to work for a strong well run outfit rather than a McEng place like E.T-B.E-Beltize or the rest. Not all of these places will rip you off.
However given the natuer of the work they do your needs are less important. : Crying or Very sad

If I were to end up in the states without a work permit what type of protection and treatment would I be given.

Good point there.
That's it KIDS, if you want to become a teacher, then get the correct qualifications and apply to a University, so you can get a work permit. Otherwise, working illeagally for 4 times the minimum wage and not paying any taxes, you have to make a couple of concessions.

Seems we have another locked thread, who'd have guessed that that was going to happen?

My morning routine is put kettle on, turn on computer, drink coffee, read news headlines and pop in here. The one that got deleted was just a continuation of the one that was locked.

My lip is constantly like that.

ah ha ha!
you look a bit like Dominique Pinon, the actor that plays the clones in City of Lost Children, and the saw-player from Delicatessen. Do you play the saw?
