For those that are interested, you might want to check out: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/English
If you're familiar with the WikiPedia, the online Encyclopedia that's written and edited by a loose community of people from around the world, the same folks are trying to put together an online collection of free books that can be used by anyone, anywhere.
Their English education section is still pretty lean, but it's neat to see what's been developed thus far, and what they're attempting to accomplish. You have to wonder what the impact might be to the traditional ESL/EFL publishing industry if something like this takes off. Pretty cool stuff!  |
