Back to the topic---- I have heard that the Good Women may be found along the shores of Cape Breton. Can you confirm Capergirl? My only reservation is that, attracted as I normally am to hard-drinking women of roughly Scotch-Irish extraction, I don't know if another would be a Good Idea at this time-- if you see what I mean. Is there a website or do I have to hitchike to the Cape?

I remember ghosting this thread 2 months ago ... it's back....

Everyone thinks this is why I'm in China. My students, my boss, my co workers, my friends, my family back home. . . everyone. Why else would Wolf go to China? Certainly not for money .... (Note: the reason was it was an opportunity to teach at a uni - something I had wanted to try.)

Truthfully, I've found it hard to meet people. At least of the single young female variety who are interested in me for who I am. In Japan, not drinking be a real hinderance to meeting young people. Even after busting more humps than Manfred to learn the language, I still was a lone wolf (I admit that meeting a future Mrs Wolf who was once a Ms Tanaka might have been one of the reasons I studied Japanese.... Hey, I was living in Japan with no plans to leave at the time.... ) In rural China ... well ... read the posts on the China forum, and you'll see how bloody impossible ... er, um I mean slightly difficlut such a thing can be.

For someone who isn't only interested in a "play parter", if you will, finding Ms Right, or even Ms Special, is not easy - anywhere under any circumstances. In a place with a different language and culutre, that sort of thing is more difficult for newcomers, not less.
