I just received a job offer with the Wall Street Institute (WSI) in Khafji, Saudi Arabia. The money is very good. Can anyone please tell me about the employer? What about Khafji? What are the students like? I have taught in Oman and the U.A.E. before. I know Saudi is not like the mentioned countries. I am not concerned about a social life. The money outweighs that. I am only concerned about general working conditions. What is the city like? ANY INFORMATION OR ADVICE will be beneficial. Thank you for your feedback. |

It is out east near the Kuwait boarder. It is rather boring and you have a single person flat, not shared you are transported by bus to and from work to two different compounds. I think it would be a little be boring, but you will be a bunch of other foreigners so I could image you wouldn't be too bored or lonely and for the pay you cant complain, I wish someone would offer me 14,000 to be a little bored on the weekends. The students are ARAMACO and Kuwait Gulf Oil Employees, so a lot of engineers and the like I would suspect. The Wall Street signed a contract with these two companies to teach English for three years. It's not the funniest place due to just having a lot of sand and the restrictions on fun in the Kingdom but there are a few more places with less going for it then out there. |
