I have a little string attached to my big toe. I get a yank every time someone posts something new. Laughing

Actually, I haven't been busy lately, but that all changes tomorrow with the start of a new course.

On cost-of-living...

I've started a number of threads so we can al hae a permanent record. Here are two:

It depends on the city. DF probably has a higher cost-of-living than most areas. Resrot cities like Cancun, Acapulco, Playa del Carmen can be pricey, though if you know where to look, you can live on the cheap. Rented, furnished rooms go for anywhere between 750 to 5000 pesos per month, apartment a little more.

food is generally cheaper here than in the US, though some things like imports are more epxensive. If you eat out, you'll likely find it cheaper than back home, but on a teacher's salary it can get expensive. If you cook at home, beggies and fruits are very cheap.

Transportation is usually very cheap too. DF city busses and subway cost 20 us cents.

Anything in particular you want to the cost on?

No subway in Merida, but city buses cost $4.50 pesos. It often takes 2 buses to get to where one wants to go.

Beggies are what happens when you go bug-eyed from being on Dave's so much!

That should have been Veggies...although a Mexican woud probably pronounce it as behees.
