I tried to see him in Sendai when he visited last week to do some night club gig. Couldn't get in because all the tables were sold out. i have seen him on TV in Korea, and he seemed to put on a good musical show with a Hawaiian touch. Are there a lot of polynesians here in Japan in entertainment.
Place where I work said they were going to get some Hawaiians for a night of entertainment, so I was just wondering.
What do the people here think of the sumo guy who tried to make it in the K1 or is it K2 fighting circuit. He didn`t do to well against the Korean guy. I would assume his popularity has since dropped. |

Akebono is a bad fighter. He looks like a flabby futon fighting real fighters. He hasn't won a fight. |

Haven't the Japanese got anything to match the Korean dood. Would be good if they did, because it would be a big hit in Korea. I don't think they considered Akebono a true representation of Japan |

Akebono (Chad Rowan) is American. He's from Hawaii. I think you're showing your ignorance as far as MMA goes. Akebono is a side show. The Japanese have many world class MMA fighters. To education yourself a little more, try reading up on Pride fighting at:

Look for the Pride and K1 schedule and check your tv listings. They happen about every two or three months. |
