Yeah you have to be happy that neither of your kids got your nose... not to be rude or anything but... well it's huge!!! Wink Laughing

And I think I've been bold long enough so I'm going to return to the happy (anonymous) mahout and his noble steed.

Oh how sad am I, I'm replying to myself, really need to get one of those things...oh what are they called...oh a LIFE, must remember to pick one of those up next time I leave my internet cave...I digress...

Loz, I met a girl in my French class today who is over here from Bogota and so I told her that I kinda-sorta knew someone who was living there...and then tried explaining how I 'know' you in my brilliant, flawless (read the opposite Wink ) french, phew! Anyway I just thought that was kind of cool. Very Happy

Yeah, way cool girlie! Laughing

And by the way, having a life can be tiring, and much more work than staying in the non-hiking, non-ropelling. non-white water rafting world of the internet! (Can you guess what I did yesterday?????) But you live in PARIS!

Ok, not making much of a point of anything in this post, I just wanted to show off what I did for the first time yesterday!

Okay, okay. Sorry psurgent, but it's gone.

I'm not yella, I'm green. I'm 5 feet, nine inches tall, and bright green. With long pointy ears. I will post a photo as soon as I figure out how.

Anybody who visited Barcelona between 2000 and 2002 may have seen me on the Ramblas.

Regards,
Justin

Loz, I am very jealous! It has been over a year since I've been rafting and even longer since I did any other cool sports that adrenalin junkies like myself thrive on Crying or Very sad . But you're right, Paris is very nice and I love it here (except when there is a strike, like tomorrow when, if I decide to go, it will take me 5 hours to get to and from my 1.5 hour class) but it isn't exactly a mecca for canyoning or caving. I did just sign up for some jumping (horse) lessons at the stable across the road so at least I'm keeping active.

Justin, you're back, YAY! OMG I was in Barcelona in 2000! You probably remember me, I was the one who slipped you a couple of million, from my starving artists fund Laughing . Actually hoping to head back there in a few weeks to visit a friend, besides it's past time I climbed the sagrada familia again. Wink

Last time I climbed it I was wearing a really old pair of sneakers that no longer had any padding left, by the time I got back on the ground my ankles were bleeding, oops!

Great photo Loz, looks like you're ready to try canyoning next, that's when you get to combine abseiling, etc with water, wheeeeeeeee. Maybe I should rethink Japan, looks like you guys have mega fun in LA, do people get kidnapped in Columbia?

Now we're just waiting for Justin to get his big, green butt into gear. Surely there's a photo of you out in cyberland somewhere JT!?!

Hey PT,

Just so you know I was watching the news last night and got Paris sentimental when they showed the strike. Ah, Paris, quite possibly my second favourite city in the whole world...

Yes, people get kidnapped in Colombia, but I wouldn't let that stop you from coming, I didn't! I also think you can have mega fun wherever you go, you just have to look for it!

Hey, Justin, please DON'T post a picture of your big green butt....

Wink

Have a good day,
Lozwich.

Ah yes, the strike... kept me from my French class Evil or Very Mad I just couldn't face a 5 hour commute for a 1.5 hour class.

Actually it's not really the kidnapping that stops me, it's the moula! I am hoping the 1-2 years in Japan will mean I can afford to take a 6 month Trans Africa Safari and maybe a trip back to Melbourne next September to watch Geelong finally win a Grand Final... Very Happy But don't tell my parents that!

Loz wants to see the merchandise from the front I suppose...can't blame her I guess Twisted Evil

Oh yeah, Loz, you inspired me, go check out Kent's photo thread in the general discussion forum.

You've just gone up 3 steps in my estimation! Laughing

Remind me to never ever take a big mouthful of water before reading your posts lozwich, I almost electrocuted myself by spitting it out all over my laptop. Thankfully I avoided doing so by almost choking to death on it instead. Laughing

What we need is someone who's in Ecuador and they could act as a stealth photographer!

To answer your questions; yes, yes and YES. Yippee for me, up three whole steps! I must be at least level with roadkill by now right? Does this mean you answer yes to the above three questions also?

Hm. Sorry about that chief... Maybe next time I should post a warning? Confused

Hm. again. I happen to have a super long weekend coming up, two cameras and enough money for a sly trip to Quito..... Twisted Evil

Well, kind of.. Yes to two, and a sort of for one. I was born in Melbourne and lived there until I was about 19, but I no longer consider it "home". Came to my senses about that a long time ago! Laughing

Lozwich.

Lozwich, your mission, should you choose to accept it:

Go to Quito for a long weekend.
Storm the doors of... ... oh crap, does anyone know where Justin works???
...
Go to Justin's place of business.
Storm the doors.
Take a stealth photo of the subject.
Proceed with caution, the suspect may be green and dangerous.
Attempt to take photos of aforementioned 'green bits' (only you can know exactly what you meant... Twisted Evil ).
Return home, upload images to Dave's.
Celebrate a job well done.
Your theme music (since the rights to Mission Impossible are so expensive):

We are Geelong, the greatest team of all.
We are Geelong, we're always on the ball.
We play the game, as it should be played.
At home or far away.
Our banners fly high, from dawn to dark.
Down at Kardinia Park.

Ah Kardinia Park, how I miss thee...

Ack, doing it again, does anyone know a good cure for loving-the-sound-of-your-own-postsitis?

Anyway I just had to share this bizarre and freaky coincidence, today in my French class, guess what the topic was? That's right, Barcelona! Ooooooh spooky huh!

And Loz, I was sitting with my new Colombian friend Anna-Maria, and she tells me that Colombia is awesome and I should go and visit it, so when was that long weekend you mentioned again??? Wink Laughing
