sorry for the delay in replying. I am getting all my work stuff rerady for when I go to chile so been hectic.
The letter for residing which states demand for work etc can be a hassle but if you know someone they can sigh it for u without having to actually hire u, just as long as they state a need etc. ppl move on, change jobs etc so its possible.
I did this for someone a bit ago, he was english and still lives in Chile. It was a family friend who did the letter. PPl do stay without legal papers but its okay till you get caught. Upto the person I guess but i would not do it myself.
There are ways to do it right and without much hassle but it depends on the person, ppl sometimes have skills etc which they could use to get work or contracts in fields which they never thought of, u just gotta sit down and see.
