even if you do venture to sultanahmet, a little knowledge of Turkey/Turkish goes a long way toward an almost hassle free expedition.

If I do find myself in that area, I usually end up using the S word. I then get hassled about how I know Turkish, how long have you been here, what do you think of Turkish girls..... Do you want to buy a carpet. Come my brother has good carpets. Do you want tea, etc
