Someone recently told me that it's a bad idea to try visiting China after being in Taiwan because Chinese passport officials would likely frown upon any support of Taiwan including tourist or work-related travel. There must be tons of people travelling all the time from Taiwan to China, so it doesn't make sense to me that there would be any problem, but if anyone is up-to-date on the issue, and can provide any info, that would be great.
Thanks,
Sophie |

Nonsense, loads of people come here from Taiwan. What idiot told you that?
One thing though, you can't come direct, you need to come through a third country, usually Hong Kong, the Phillipines ot Korea. |

Agreed. China is full of Taiwanese business people and their families. When it comes to money, its one country one system. And yes, you can't travel direct. Stupid, and each side blames the other. |

I have over 10 pages of work visas, tourist visas, visa extentions, and customs stamps in my passport. I recently moved to China after 3 years in TW. There is no problem getting a visa and coming to China.
You were outright lied to. |
