I'm always an overpacker. I've packed around 20 days worth of clothes, comfort food (beef jerky), and personal care products. A few reference books, my notebook, and my digital camera. Now what else should I bring. What else am I going to miss? What shouldn't I bring. Shall I plan for an unexpected 30 degree day. Give me your list. |

if you are a reader, bring books to read. If you are taking the EBC course, i suggest buying the 2 grammar books on the list and bringing those with you. Deodarant (only spray or rollon here) and tampons (only OB) with applicators are hard to come by. I would bring a versatile sweater or jacket. You can get a lot of things here though. Those are the main things I would think about |

a travel printer would've been awesome... it's .40 - .50 per page for printouts plus being charged for the computer time. i probably spend more than $10 pesos a week on printouts and if i don't have everything done before 8pm, the place closes and won't open until after my morning class but that may just be silly...
what else... definitely have some article of comfort clothing (your hoodie or something like that) for the rough days. it's almost magical... same with a few of your favorite pictures from home.
most personal care items like shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, facewash, toothpaste, etc can be purchased here.
no need to stock up on meds. most are available here CHEAP and without a perscription (including things like bc pills, antibiotics, migraine medicine, allergy medicine, etc.)

no need to bring tango wear. you can get it pretty cheap here... and you probably already have what you need - stuff you can move around in freely and shoes that don't have rubber soles. |
