I started applying for South Korea at the beginning of September and I already landed a job which I think is decent but now it seems as if I am getting cold feet. First I have cold feet because my father is from Morocco and I have an Arab last name and I was just wondering if this will be a problem getting my E2 visa to teach in South Korea. I am really hyped about working in Korea but reading all the posts it seems as if the majority of the people working in South Korea are very cynical and really do not like being there. So please help if you have any suggestions |

The immigration people are not likely to discriminate against you for having an Arab surname. The only people who might would be potential employers as they like their English teachers to be Caucasian. (in the event that you look Arab as well). As you've already been offered a job I guess that isn't a problem for you. |
