im scared to do online banking here. im afraid of spyware or something that will take down your keystrokes. anyone can comment on this. anyone with any good or bad luck. |

hm... i didn't even think about that. some places are safer than others, and you can usually tell the safer ones. a lot of them have good virus protection, spyware, popup blockers, etc. sometimes a little too good.
i have internet at home now, so that's where i do my online banking. but i did do it some in the cafes before and haven't had any suspicious activity on the account... |

i tried copyying some stuff yesterday on a flash memory. when i got home and stuck it on my computer. i had a bunch of viruses. i better stick to the more credible places with antiviruses and such. |

It's probably more a question of heavy traffic at an internet cafe than by country. Lotsa people using a system means many more chances of havng a keystroke logger on board.
If recent events are any measure, your credit info is more likely to be stolen by a clerk in NYC than by the internet anyway. |
