Hey all
Does anyone know anything about the Sarasas Witaed Bangbon school in Bangkok? I've been offered a position there---35,000b a month, accomodation, insurance, airfare, six weeks paid vacation---this sort of fell into my lap--I'm qualified and everything with a BA and a TEFL and experience but the cynic in me is trying to find the catch...
Also any general advice about life in Bangkok?
Thanks!

Hello Amanda & JoeB !
Apparently, the Thai School Watch Forum has just recently
changed over to a 'registered members only' website.
Here's the main link to their homepage:
http://www.thaischoolwatch.com/
I'm afraid I don't have too much in the way of first-hand info for you,
although it seems that the branch you mentioned above
advertises frequently for new teachers.
This could be the result of:
A) rapid expansion leading to the need to hire additional teachers
or
B) a sign of problems, resulting in teachers bailing out early
My best advice ?
Talk to some current teachers at the branch in question, if that's possible to arrange.
If that's not possible, approach with caution, but don't be too paranoid.
None of the large chain schools in Thailand is 100% squeeky-clean !
In plain English: if you look for you'll probably find it. |
