You have to register your phone before December 13th.
call *#06# this will give you a serial number then go to imei.tk.gov.tr and enter your number. I think you have to wait untıl November 1st. before doing it.

Hmm I put my seri no. in and it told me it couldn't find it.(my phone isn't from Turkey.) Now what? anyone know?

Most phones will be registered. If you don't pay then I am guessing you will have to pay a fine to get it turned back on.

Do you mean they will cut off your sim card or the actual phone? I dont understand how they can turn it off.

If you look at a thread called buying second hand phone all the info is there. If you don't pay the 5 Y.T.L to register your phone, the line provider has to cut you off. This system will start as of around Feb 2007.

If you got your phone from abroad, then you have to have it registered. Go to a main line provider office and pay and fill in the form.

The reason for this is to try and stop the theft of ceps. Do you think it will? Somehow I don't it think it will because Turkey is not in Europe Wink
