For those of you who don't already know, the BBC worldservice regularly provides articles with vocabulary already explained for learners of english (http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/newsenglish/witn/archive_2005.shtml).
What I just discovered today is that some of those articles (http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/newsenglish/witn/2005/10/051005_neworleans.shtml) come with pre-made lesson plans. Look at the very bottom of the page.
A true find! |

It's also good for studying other languages and within those there are resources for the native speakers of them to learn English such as news articles with some translations of the more difficult words. They seem to be missing a few of the more commonly studied languages though. |

Colonial cousins who have discovered the delights of the BBC World Service will also find the British Council site useful: learnenglish.org.uk |
