Hello dear teachers & travelers...

Just two quick questions:

My boyfriend is visiting me this week on a whim. Landing visas are good for 30 days right? And all he needs is a proof of a return ticket? Also, what is the bus that takes you from CKS Airport to Taipei Main Station? Do they have an English website? Any insight is helpful...thank you

All he needs is proof of a return ticket and cash to pay the fee depending on his nationality.
The Airport bus is located at the end of the terminal building.
Turn left as you come out of customs for the old terminal and right if you are coming through the new terminal building take the shuttle between terminals.
Tickets are between 110NT$ and 140NT$ one way and will take you to the train station or the domestic airport located just outside Taipei city.

People from the following countries can enter Taiwan for 30 days without a visa. This visa-free entry applies to citizens of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, The Netherlands , New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, U.K. and U.S.A.

There is no need to apply or pay any money at the airport. Just show your passport as you go through immigration and get a stamp that allows you to remain in Taiwan for 30 days.
