I haven't said anything before, but please consider that the big schools consider their methods to be intellectual property, and that they do not want detailed information spread across the internet. The harder you push for all the intricate details, the more likely the thread will disappear.

I guess that's possible, but the general stuff is available on their websites and I don't think the intricate details we're getting here are all that intricate. And this is supposed to be a site for folks in the ESL community to exchange information and help each other, right? Besides, the term "intellectual property" can't easily be defended as regards to methods - especially commonly established and widespread ones! - but is appropriate for materials created in-house, and we're not exactly posting chapters from Diplomat and whatsnot.

So, anybody else want to add some comments on what it's like for the teacher - what he or she can expect to do and experience - at the various schools? Anything that's been missed? Hopefully, this will help future teachers make decisions based on more than just pay, housing, vacation and dating policies!
