Hey Guys,
I just recieved my Visa and it says "The Holder of the visa is not permitted to assume unapporved employment..." Is this standard for a visitor visa. My employer said she will be able to get my a work visa.
Thanks,

Yes that is standard for a visitors visa which is the visa that you have. You cannot work on a visitors visa legally.
Once you are in Taiwan and have found a job your employer will need to start the process of obtaining a resident visa for work purposes for you. The first step in this process is for the school to obtain a work permit from the CLA. Once they have submitted these documents to the CLA, and prior to approval of these documents, you can start to work legally even though you are technically still on a visitors visa. |
