I am not sure if this post has already been addressed, but I would like to know if there are any certain times of the year, or days of the week that would be recommended as the cheapest to fly to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Flying from Los Angeles, San Diego, or any other airport in the Orange County area. If anyone can tell me anything helpful it would be greatly appreciated! Or if this question has alreay been asked can some please send me the link that I could find out this information.

Thanks,

Wink

Hi k32081! I am a socal native recently transplanted to Kansas City. I really miss cali. If you go to any Argentine restaurant you will find a mag called "Suplemento" that has advertisements of travel agencies offering flights as low a $500. However, I think that you need to buy the tickets in advance as the agencies are usually limited to the number available. If you are in San Diego area, there is a place in little italy that just opened on Indiana st downtown. It's next to starbucks and they have a mag called Directorio Argentino. The resaurant is called Puerto la Boca. If you're in the Orange county area, try Santa Ana for Regina's and tell Elias that I said hi. They will have the suplemento. In LA, go to Buenos Aires Grill on Corbin in Northridge. I have no argentinian restaurants in Kansas (obviously) so we have all these places pegged when we visit home so we can pig out on fugazetta and milanesa before we return to white land! Good luck finding a cheap ticket and have a tostado at La Biela for me when you get to BA!

hey thanks a lot, this should really help out. I appreciate it. Will these issues/papers have only argentinian airline carriers, or all, or just US for cheap fares?

Unbelievable! You're in Temecula! When we left cali we did not sell our home. It's sitting there empty in Murrieta. That's where we stay when we go visit our adult children, 3 of them live in Temecula. You're my neighbor! The travel agencies specialize in travel to Argentina, thus why they advertise in Argentinean magazines. The flights usually go out of LA or Miami, ofcourse. Good Luck!

Sorry I forgot to address the carriers, it could be Aerolineas Argentina or Lan Chile, I am not sure if maybe they also use American Airlines?

Yeah I know. Crazy. It's a small world. I figured that LAN Chile or Aerolneas Argentina would probably be the only two. I'll have to look into these....

Thanks,
Smile
