Hi there folks
Could anybody give me some advice or a recommendation for a reasonably priced doctor in the city ie NOT gringo prices. It doesn't have to be an English speaking one. I don't have any insurance so I will be paying myself. What is a reasonable price to pay for a consultation? Will the price be quoted before I see the doctor of afterwards?
thanks
sheena

There's a medical centre on Uruguay between Bartolome Mitre and Rivadavia-consultations are 10 pesos a time. Full blood analysis costs around 25 pesos. X-rays from 15 pesos. Not the prettiest place but it's recently been remodelled and is a hell of a lot better than it was when i first went there. And hey, a doctor's a doctor.

ringworm is a fungus. it looks like a worm - usually forms a circle. it commonly appears on arms, but can be pretty much anywhere on the body. it is contageous, can be transmitted skin to skin, objects to skin, from pool surfaces onto skin. is common in animals, and in children. it can be treated though. it's like getting athlete's foot (which is actually a form of ringworm)

Thanks alot. Actually on futher inspection I don't think I have ringworm. My complaint has cleared up now so I'm not away to the doctor. But I'll keep a close eye on it for any signs of a repeat attack.
cheers for now
Sheena
