Should the Mark all forums read link also be placed at the top of the page? |

Anyone else get bored of scrolling through four screens worth of forums after reading the two or three they are interested in? No disrespect to people working in all those countries, but unless I have plans to work in them in the next year or two, I have no reason to read them, or even be reminded that those forums exist. |

Personally, I use "Read all posts since last visit". Quite often there's something happening in one of the other forums that I wouldn't normally visit that looks interesting enough to read.
And as an ex-software engineer I can explain that this board uses a standard software package. Dave and his minions - a.k.a. moderators - have a few options to play with, but to get your change implemented you'll probably have to respond to the original authors of this package.

Yes, I agree. The old forum was easier to read as the threads were uninterrupted. My pet peeve is that having to select a page (when there are so many posts that several pages are needed) I often miss a post or two that made it to the previous page. I do not want to click every page as this is rather time-consuming.
This does not mean I am less happy now than before. Security is much better now! |
