Does anyone have any information regarding any 10km/20km races taking place in Japan.
I usually run 10km and 20km races and am keeen to enter some of the Japanese races but am highly frustrated as I cannot seem to find many although I am informed that many are scheduled all year round.
I would appreciate any info regarding any races taking place in Japan at any time of the year. |

I think you need to do some searches on race clubs or race organizations in your area. Like most things in Japan, things are highly (overly?) organized. There are a number of road races near where I live, but a bit far from Shinjuku. |

I saw the title of this thread, and thought the poster might be suffering the after affects of some dodgy sashimi..... |

Thanks for the reply Gordon.
I really don't mind travelling to a race as it's often nice to make a weekend of it.
I have done many searches though unfortunately, the races do not appear to be advertised on the internet. |

I'm not sure if you can read Japanese or not, but check this site out anyway. they liss running races around the country.
www.runtes.jp/ or
http://www.runnet.jp/
A better way that I have found is to meet some local racers who can take you with them to races and more importantly keep ypu informed. It's quite tricky to sign-up for these things so good luck |

Hash House Harriers run in Kobe. Look for half marathons, as they have several marathons every year in Japan and in Osaka.
Tokyo Gov is in New York checking out the New York marathon as they plan to hold a marathon in Tokyo in 2007. |
