Hiya Cynthia. Incorrect use of ''his.''

''Selin's use of 'done' in this case is a good example of why I feel that way. His sentence leads to ambiguity. It could mean, 'She has not done her degree (yet)' or 'She is not finished her degree.''

Happy TEFLing

My previous posting was meant as friendly constructive criticism. But here's one just for the nasty pleasure.

'varying degrees of skill' : correct

'varying skill levels' : correct

'varying degrees of skill levels' : ridiculously redundant

My debut to this forum is not my first experience with TESL.

Hi Mark,

I had thought Selin was male until I saw her next posting. (Sorry Selin.)

However, Mark, I was somewhat disappointed that you didn't delight in my misspelling of 'tongue'.

Selin, If you speak Turkish, you have an excellent chance of finding work and an excellent chance of talking someone into hiring your friend as well. No matter what country you're in, speaking the local language goes a long way in this business.

Congratulations Ms. Tax. Finally, a more obnoxious presence than Mr. Lloyd.
