Good topic "PAULH"
What make's a good foreign teacher is.
1. Don't let the student run the class the way they want it.
2. Alway's be strict.
3. Start off with 100% to pass them, if they are late or missing from class take off -5% when you reach below 60% FAILL THEM.
4. Tell them your rules in class when you first start your job.
5. No students should have a power over a foreign teacher
6. If students have bad behaviour, bad language, bad attitude, and show No respect to you kick them out of the classroom.
7. I will not take any bulls*** from them I came here to teach Oral English.
Just having a bad day. whats new in China!. |

| Yeah nice idea ,nice thread, lots of good stuff coming out from those of us who work on the chalk face,we know what makes a good teacher, but, do the people who pay our wages ? Most importantly do our students ,sometimes I wonder if we are just deluding ourselves that what we do is right but the hirers and fires have a different agenda . |
If you are not happy why are you here?
Remember you have options. |

Obviously, he's venting. It helps sometimes.
Also obviously, a good mommy teacher and a good daddy teacher makes a good teacher!

Interesting topic. Adding to the previous, I believe a good teacher will do all possible to alleviate stress and make the students relax!! so they can learn without distraction.
A previous posting had the following, which I am pleased to annotate since I am not an adult.
What make's a good foreign teacher is. [punctuation or grammatical error, depending on intent]
1. Don't let the student run the class the way they want it. [number agreement error]
2. Alway's be strict. [punctuation or grammatical error]
3. Start off with 100% to pass them, if they are late or missing from class take off -5% when you reach below 60% FAILL THEM. [punctuation and spelling/typo errors as well as redundancy (being generous)]
4. Tell them your rules in class when you first start your job. [pass!!]
5. No students should have a power over a foreign teacher [grammar and punctuation error]
6. If students have bad behaviour, bad language, bad attitude, and show No respect to you kick them out of the classroom. [capitalization error]
7. I will not take any bulls*** from them I came here to teach Oral English. [punctuation and capitalization errors]
Also, a generalized "fail" on attitude.
Edited because missed the last line: "Just having a bad day. whats new in China!." [punctuation and capitalization] |
