A friend of mine started a service to help people find cheap and cool housing before coming to Santiago, therefore avoiding hostels, homestays and the like. He also has information about city tours and excursions. You can check out the posting on www.craigslist.com, under housing or write him directly at: [email protected].
I hope this helps anyone who is thinking of moving to Santiago.
