I know that what gets posted here should be related to teaching and I guess in a way this could be since we need to stay healthy in order to teach right? So here it goes.
Are there any places in DF that sells organic food? Things like lettuce and honey? Vegetables in geberal. I know there has to be a place since it's the largest city in the world.

Thanks.

John

There are places, but not widespread. Polanco burrough would be your first bet, as it has several small specialty stores, and some of the supermarkets there stock imported goods. Be prepared to pay a premium though.

Thanks Guy. There aren't many places in Texas either. One or two stores here or there and that's about it. I'm not an extremist when it comes to health but I do try to eat some organic vegetables now and then. Perhaps there are less chemicals in the food in Mexico than here in the U.S.?
At least that's what my wife tells me. My students also tell me the same thing. They say that they have a hard time with the meat here in the States so they no longer eat before coming to class.

Thanks again.

John

I want to say yes, but I don't have any proof. There is a lot less GM product here, by law.

Thanks. I guess we have to believe what they tell us in the stores.

Thanks Guy!! Now I have a name of a store. I may check it out next month while I'm in DF for Christmas and New Years. I owe you a Coca Cola for all of the info you've given. I appreciate it!
