Montiel is out. "Financial irregularidades"...the usual weapon of choice in Mexican political charatcer assassinations. Smells of S-A-L-I-N-A-S...

So PRI is good at cannibalizing their own. Imagine being in power again.

Yes, I'm refering to Madrazo.
In the past few weeks ginormous posters and wallpainting have gone up
Here, we used to have a large billboard featuring an attractive young lady in a swimsuit as advertising for a local nightclub. Now we have a billboard featuring Madrazo. Needless to say, I preferred the old billboard.

The posters are scary, I mean just look at the guy!
Just in time for Day of the Dead.

DF is full of them. Some well-meaning chilangos have taken to drawing a bandit mask over Madrazo's eyes. Other just srawl profanities.

Here we go...Madraztra is after the big prize in a new way.

http://www.cbc.ca/story/world/national/2005/11/04/freetrade-051104.html

Promising to renegotiate the NAFTA agreement with the US and Canada makes for a wonderful appeal for votes in the countryside, and is going straight after northern PAN territory. Empty promise. If the WTO and a legion of other countries haven't been apply to shake up US (and Canadian and European) heavy subsidies, how is Madrazo going to?

By inviting GW down for a chat and then talking to him man to man. As opposed to Fox (Lustrador to GOD) or AMLO (insignificant pipsqueak to Hercules). If anyone can, Roberto can.

If the PRI wins in 2006 I might almost consider gracing Mexico with my presence once again.

(Don't worry Oaxaca, it wouldn't be there)
