For the benefit of the uneducated, UDI is not a method of contraception but a Unilateral Declaration of Independence.
To answer your question, compadre, I had just celebrated the Beatles' MBE award ceremony and my second birthday. Mr Gannex's colonial crisis was not uppermost on my mind.
