Hiyas,
I'm trying to hatch my latest hairbrained (or is it hare-brained? I never know!) scheme for my Christmas holiday. Its going to be a)bouncing around Colombia, b)bouncing around Mexico or c)swanning around the Galapagos Islands.
Can anyone help me with good websites for cheap airfares? I find myself Lonely Planet-less at the moment, and don't know where to go for budget Latin American airlines.
Oh yeah, I don't want to have to go through the silly rigmarole required for transiting through the US...
Thanks!
Lozwich. |

I'm pretty sure it's hare, linking back to 'mad as a march hare'.

Hmm, good point. Would you be willing to put her up in France for a week?
Aw, I'm just kidding. I'm dying for some beach time though...I'm see-through white after so much time up in the hills. |

hare-brained- "It is a well-established word. Its first use dates to 1548. The spelling hairbrained also goes back to the 1500s, when hair was a variant spelling of hare."

Its been a fantasy of mine to take up French and start dating women working in the Acadmie franaise. Whaddya think my chances are?
(You have to understand I love searching language references and what the Acadmie franaise does, in order to get this joke. I apologize for the obfuscated humor)

Hmm, I'm looking a little pale and interesting myself..
For those who want to know, I ended up going to a good ole travel agent for my ticket. I didn't get the cheapest option, because it arrives in DF too late for my liking, but the price was pretty much the same as it would have been to purchase online!
I looked at COPA, Avianca, Aeropostal, Mexicana and TACA websites, and also Expedia, Travelocity and Despegar, and found prices all pretty much the same. Doesn't seem to be that need for shopping around here like there is in other places. |
