I'm thinking about opening a business in Cambodia, possibly motorbike rental just over the Thai border or in the capital. I'm coming down in three weeks but what do you reckon the market is like?
I have the capital.
What does Cambodia lack?
No illegal suggestions please! |

To me this sounds like a recipe for turning a big fortune into a small fortune !
You know the old one "How do I make a small fortune in SE Asia ?"
"Easy, start with a large fortune !" |

I suggest you try asking on http://www.khmer440.com/. There are a number of bar owners that post there regularly - but I gather they make only a fraction of an English teacher's salary. |

I have a good friend living in Phnom Penh, Cambodia right now who is working as an independent film maker for some of the NGO's there. He also taught English for a bit. When visiting him in May I met some folks that were running a travel business targetting Dutch tourists (the owners were Dutch guys) and they seemed to be doing well. It seems like there should be some opportunities.
