Should I just turn up?

I have CELTA qualification and I`m currently teaching in Veracruz, Mexico. I just turned up here and found this job. Does the same apply to other S American countries. Thinking of heading to Bolivia Jan next year. Can someone share some info please.

Many thanks.

There's work in La Paz...not sure about the surrounding countryside. It is best just to show up. Expect to be teaching in a language school or to business crowds. Dress warm.

Noted. But you're still the closest thing we have to an old hand on the Bolivia scene. Nobody I've met who's been there has lasted a fraction of the time that you have, and it sounds like you enjoy it. So we'll probably continue to pester you with our questions on the whole country... Very Happy

And appreciate any insight you can offer.

Thanks,
Justin

Yes, and I am quite happy to answer any questions that I can. And you're right I have been here six and a half years now. But when you compare the climate here, i.e. Cochabamba, with my previous place of residence, Scotland......... Enough said.

A growing city so there 'SHOULD' be ESL work there. But the climate is foul, unless you like hot, humid weather.
