Here is, point by point, my problem with your question/posts.
1. Your initial question was directed ONLY to guys and referred specifically to the beauty of Mexican women. This immediately suggested to me that you were not interested in hearing much about Mexican women beyond their physical attributes and whether theyd be willing to date a foreigner and put out. It came across as sexist and mildly offensive.
2. When someone responded to your question in a general, non-offensive way, you then requested more information asking for a comparison between Mexican and other Latin American women. This again came across as sexist, offensive and objectifying women. My thought was, as I have written before, what are you hoping to hear in answer to this question? Some kind of point by point comparison? A list of their attributes or a score out of ten? I also thought your question was ridiculously broad which is where my ask a stupid question' (get a stupid answer) comment came from.
3. You then responded by saying that if I didnt wish to write a well-articulated reply then I shouldnt bother to respond at all. Then when ls650 wrote a post that was supportive of my questioning the legitimacy of your post you again attacked calling me some hound. I responded to this and then you accused me of taking what you said personally, how else was I supposed to take it?
4. I only questioned your articulation and grasp of English in reply to you doing the same thing of me, the same with my comment regarding your age. I did not resort to name calling, merely to expressing my opinion that your question was unsuitable and yet you chose to describe me as a pain in the ass, belligerent, defensive, rash, unthoughtful, having a chip on my shoulder and a couple of swear words that were censored.
5. You mention that you had been told by other people that your question was fine but conveniently ignored the fact that several people had also agreed with my suggestion that your question was unsuitable.

Well I would have liked to contribute but you specifically said in your first post that you were soliciting the opinion of guys. Looks like thelmadatter and melee really shouldnt have contributed their interesting points either as theyve totally sidetracked your precious thread and are female!
7. You told me twice to move on and yet you post to me on the forum and then follow it up with a PM not twenty minutes later. Perhaps you should take your own advice.

On the contrary, I am a member of this forum too and if I find something offensive and sexist then I have every right to make my thoughts known.

Again perhaps you need to take some of your own advice if this is how defensive you get over a little mild criticism. This forum is a lot like real life, not everyone here is going to stroke your ego or treat you with kid gloves.
Personally I am not going to waste any more time with this. I found your post offensive and sexist you dont see why. Nothing I say is going to change your mind so I am going to take your only bit of sound advice and move on.

I have to admit to a bit of curiousity. Had this thread been started by a gay male asking about the quality of the gay scene in Mexico, would it have been met with as much venom? Makes one wonder if this isn't just an opportunity for some hetero male-bashing. Like the TV, if you don't like what you see, turn the channel.
As far as I know, there is no rule stating that every thread need apply to me. When someone asks about a school I have no knowledge of, I don't reply. In this case, he was asking for the opinion of men (or, I suppose, lesbians). If you find that offensive, then Mexico probably isn't the place for you, to begin with.
PC runs rampant in the ESL community. It doesn't mean, however, that we all agree with the attempts at peer censorship. So, the guy wants to get laid. Big deal! |

While I think PlayadelSoul has a valid point, I think the OP's response to PT were probably outta line. In the spirit of thelmadatter's post: If anyone asks me about American women I quote Kanye West's latest song, GoldDigger: If "you aint no punk holla We Want Prenup
WE WANT PRENUP!, Yeaah
It's something that you need to have
Cause when she leave yo ass she gone leave with half"
I lost out with my prenup, so don't say I don't have a sense of humor about this! |

Amen! I'm gay, and it made me wonder the same thing. I thought, "These PC hounds would allow me to ask about the gay scene in Mexico, but the poor straight guy can't ask? WTF?"
Teachers want to get laid, too. Good Lord. If you don't like the thread, IGNORE IT. Don't turn it into a flame war. |

chill out, people!
look, most mexican women are short and chunky, same as most mexican men. of course you will find a huge huge variety, and mexicans will love to tell you about how there are so many tall, thin, blonde mexicans, you would think you'd be tripping over them every time you get off the metro.
the secret is that those people dye their hair. haha just kidding. well, not really. the secret is that they live in little enclaves because they can't stand being around the people on the metro, who are often short and chunky. in fact, when you ride the metro it is quite possible that you will be with 2000 other people, none of whom you find "attractive." but beauty is subjective...maybe you will find your dream girl(s) here, and if you are just looking for cheap sex, there is plenty of that too, particularly if you are american, blond, white, whatever. this post may sound harsh, but when you come to mexico prepare to be judged 99% on your appearance, initially. it's hard to get past that superficial stage sometimes, but as i said, if you are "exotic" and you just want sex, it will serve you well. just don't expect fidelity. |

| Matt, I heartily applaud you for sharing that dose of reality instead of cowering before the PC police. I wanted to say everything you did, but I didn't have the guts. Cheers. |

Be very very careful with Mexican women. They will steal your heart and love you till the end of the earth, given the chance. If this should ever happen to you, consider yourself blessed,in the truest sense of the word.
As for me, I'm getting married this February with my 'Mexican woman.' After five years I guess the ladies in the markt were right, they warned me that despite being a confirmed bachelor, comitafobeand serial monogamist...that a mexicana would get me in the end. I have even taken care to not eat the iguana tamales (which supposedley results in one never leaving Oaxaca), and am pretty sure she hasn't geven me any 'toalache'.
However I got here, I am most happy with how things are working out. As it has been said before, Mexico is all about the heart. |

I guess, if it were true, it would have been "commitaphobian."
Congradulations anyways!
More evidence that true love strikes when you least expect it! |

| Selma Hayek? I prefer Sonia Bragga. Are Brazilians Latinos? I suppose so-if your forbears are from the Iberian peninsula (or penisula) |

As for pure physical beauty, I've always felt that if you took the most beautiful 1% of each country's women and made comparisions, I for one would find the Nepalese women the most beautiful with perhaps Italian, Greek and Thai women in roughly that order.
I did find myself very intrigued by the more beautiful Mayan Mexican women and found them to be real eye candy. Their short stature, however, makes for their being unwieldly sexual partners? I'm not into acrobatics. |
