I tried it last year and his surname was censored! I wonder if it'll accept cockroach? Tried that one a couple of weeks ago without success.

Abdala Bucarm was quite an exciting public speaker. You never knew what he was going to say next! Very Happy

It's true that he was crazy...but in SA, I often think that presents some political advantages.

Why thank you sir!

Although I have a cringeworthy memory of wearing something ridiculous in a certain posada a few years ago, Zippy con sombrero is about as close as I get to wearing silly hats these days!

At the risk of getting back on topic, there's a nice overview of upcoming elections in the region at: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/spl/hi/guides/456900/456942/html/nn1page1.stm

From BBC...
Quote:

Situation: The left-leaning former Mexico City mayor, Andres Lopez Obrador, is currently leading the polls. His Democratic Revolution Party (PRD) has to prove that it has appeal outside the capital and beat off challengers from the other two main political forces, the ruling National Action Party (PAN) and the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). The PRI, which ruled Mexico for seven decades until it lost power to Mr Fox, is hoping to return to government.

BBC Latin America analyst James Painter says that Mr Lopez Obrador would be unlikely to follow a radical economic agenda, as the Mexican economy is now so tied to that of the US.

A fair assessment. But I'm calling Calderon to win.

I don't know the full details of it, since the whole thing started before I arrived, but that site doesn't go into any detail about how the President of Colombia applied to have the Constitution changed so that he could run for re-election and possibly (some say probably) stay in office for another 4 years. Some analysts here have said that this is in-constitutional in itself.
