I have been offered a position with this company, anyone know about this company?
They originally said it was single status but their offer has been upped to married status. To quote their e-mail "Once you come here, you can start the procedures of inviting your family because you are the only person who can do that. This matter can be done in 10 days because you can only send an invitation letter to the Saudi Embassy there to have their visa obtained." Is this standard procedure?
Thanks for any help that you can give me |

The alarm bells ring when I see this !
If you are qualified and have some experience go for a job in the State sector. Try one of the many colleges and universities that regularly recruit.
Do not go for a franchise and certainly not for Abdulla's Private Language School.
If you are not qualified or have no experience.................
you are looking for a job in the wrong country. |

I don't know why Scot 47 thinks things are any better in the State sector in this respect. Many places insist on your passing the probationary period before they will pay for your family to come.
One thing not mentioned in this thread is the amount of paperwork necessary to get the spouse over. If you don't do it beforehand it can easily take weeks, or even months, to sort it out. |

I was not focussing on the question asked. What I wanted to stress was that GENERALLY jobs in the private sector in KSA can be a bit dodgey. |

True~ they are dodgy, but I think that without a work visa, we can come and go as we please. |
Correction: without a work visa, you can come and go as THEY please! People do not avoid giving you the necessary papers for YOUR benefit, they do so for their own. Either they want to exercise complete control over you, they are utter cheapskates who will not spend the money required on proper processing, or...take note here...they are not reputable operations, are unregistered and are therefore NOT ELIGIBLE for work visas.
Anyone who says that they will bring you to KSA on a business or other non-working-visa, is immediately highly suspect. This has been said over and over again on these pages, and people still come in asking if they think such offers are bona fide or even good!
If these people say they can get your family here on a non-working visa, they are lying just to get you out here. The alarm bells aren't just ringing here, they are shattering my eardrums.
A word of caution on another matter: if your wife is reluctant to move here, don't try to force the issue. Many expats here drag wives along thinking it is in her best interests financially whether she likes it or not. Such an approach can end in disaster. It will breed resentment and create the feeling of loss of control on her part. I speak here from experience, both my own and that of many others.
Back to the original issue: take strong heed of Scot47's advice. |
