Most people in the US or UK - including teachers - save nothing, zilch, nada. Saving off a salary in KSA is easy. Maybe I am weird but I actually LIKE living and working in KSA. And I save something. And I have holidays in exotic locations.

Thaere - that was my 3000th post !

Exotic locations like the Tylos Hotel in Bahrain, or have you upgraded to the 20 BD a night City Centre?

I think he means the Bulgarian Riviera, with Mrs Scot and the Scotlings in tow.
Congratulations on your 3000th posting, Scot47. Please don't mellow with age. Wink

The bottom line with Saudi is that you can generally save even on the lower salaries up to two thousand a month US.
You can do this without teaching loads of hours and with many nice holidays.

You may be able to make more money in some Asian countries but probably with have to work much harder and unless you are very careful ie stingy, you will not save as much.

Saudi is good because the temptations to spend are absent. Many people do not have the willpower to save but in Saudi can save because there is not much to spend the money on.
If you are a good saver and a hard worker maybe Saudi is not a great option as you may well be able to get the better returns elsewhere.

Sounds good Mark. My only real point was to try to demonstrate that some alternatives may offer similar savings.
