Several of the teachers here sent their documents back home for a trusted friend / family member to run around.

I am a US citizen ( from CA ) currently living and teaching in Bangkok Thailand. I have found a company in CA on the internet that will Notarize AND apostille all 5 of my documents:

1. BA Degree
2. BA Transcript
3. MA Degree
4. MA Transcript
5. TEFL Certificate

This is serious overkill!!!
First, forget the transcripts, if you are going to turn them into immigration, they will need to be translated. I twice have translated transcripts to take the place of a degree and if you want to talk about pains in the you know where!!!
Also, once you have an MA, they don't care about your BA--obiviously you had to have a BA to get into the MA program. If your MA is in TEFL, also don't worry about your TEFL cert.
Certainly bring all those other documents with you, but don't bother about getting the Apostilles for all of those!

I agree. It is overkill. They will only require the last diploma.

I think I'm still going to get them ALL apostilled.

Maybe I'll live and teach in Mexico for a couple of years then take a job in Russia or China or Peru.

In Russia they might want my BA apostilled. In China they'll want my MA apostilled. In Peru they'll want my Transcripts apostilled.

I might as well get everything done all at once.

Thanks for your advice.
