They have a permanent office in Toronto with permanent employees....hotels dont factor into it.
Its not hard to imagine that they could have a figure on 'recruiting costs' somewhere broken down and file a nuisance claim. Knowing what I know about how that company operates, I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss them as idle threats, but its up to whomever is in that position to decide for themselves. |

Glenski is right. It's just a theoretical deterrent. Yeah, you signed a contract, but it has no real teeth and to pursue a claim against you is too much trouble for not enough potential gain and a good chance they'd lose easily anyway.
But hey, it was effective on you, so it must work on some cautious people. I never took it seriously when they told me about it. |
