Travel cost from/within Japan is a SCAM!
Does anyone know if you have a family member buy you a ticket, say from Narita to Hong Kong, abroad and then post it to you here...can you use it? Any issue with that? Thanks! |

Of course that depends largely on when (and where) you travel. As you know Japan has three peak travel periods and travelling during those is outrageous (double or triple the normal price). However, you can check out www.iace.co.jp or www.no1-travel.com. As for the question about a family member purchasing a ticket in your name, I don't believe that is allowed for international flights. I think the person buying the ticket must be the one travelling. I could be wrong on that. However, I do know there's no way someone outside Japan can buy a ticket for a flight originating in Japan and flying internationally (unless it is for his/her own use). The rules for domestic and international travel vary greatly. |
