I'll be teaching at a winter camp for a few weeks and would sure like to go for a bike ride. Is it possible to rent bikes in Taipei? Does anyone know of a bike shop that rents bikes and someone there speaks English? I'll be taking Mandarin classes on Roosevelt Rd. and teaching for ALV at the Fortune Hotel. Sorry, don't know the address.

You can hire mountain bikes from Alan's Bike Shop in Taipei.
IF you are looking for something simpler and less expensive then I believe there are places along the bike paths that run along Taipei's main rivers that hire bikes. Couldn't give you the exact locations, but you can find a map of the bike paths here. |
